The Queen's College, Oxford
Queen's College Oxford was founded in the 14th Century, but completely rebuilt in the 18th Century which gives it a unique feel for Oxford. The Front Quad has been described as ‘the grandest piece of classical architecture in Oxford’.
Continued enhancements and refreshes over the years
College websites have multiple audiences each with specific needs and a wealth of information to display
We were delighted to work with Queen’s in 2015, developing and building the back end to their website, working in partnership with local design agency Franks & Franks to produce an aesthetically beautiful and technically brilliant site.
After the launch of the website, we continued our relationship with Queen’s College and undertook some further enhancements to the site. This included a refresh of the homepage, the addition of new content, the development of informational tools such as a handy interactive map of the college, a suite of 360 photographs to give the user a deeper visual insight into Queen’s and a distance calculator which we co-developed with Queen’s IT team, enabling potential students and visitors to work out how far the college is from any other point in the UK. We also designed and built the display for their new electronic display screen in the lodge at the entrance to the college and developed an easy-to-use admin interface to manage this.
Now, several years on, we are still working with Queen’s, discussing plans for an exciting upgrade to the website. Watch this space.
