You wouldn’t cover up your shop windows…

With the explosion of different devices, it’s vital that websites re-size to fit the user’s screen. For many businesses, their website is their shop window. It’s vital they are up to date, fit for purpose, display everything well on any device and give your customer the browsing experience they deserve. If you had a shop, you wouldn’t cover up the shop windows…would you?

Websites which are not responsive to different devices (i.e they can’t re-size according to the different screen sizes across laptops, mobile phones and tablets) are difficult to browse, can be slow to load or just cannot undertake specific tasks. This will leave the user frustrated and may well lose the business a sale…

Google have recently emphasised the importance of responsive websites in the press. They are highlighting the fact that mobile friendly websites score higher in the search rankings than their unfriendly counterparts. Google are keen for businesses to get the most out of the web and want them to sit up and take note of the basic importance of the customer’s experience with a website. If your website doesn’t display on your customer’s chosen device then it’s likely that they won’t waste their time coming back to you…
