About Us

What do we do?

We work with web technologies - designing, programming, hosting and managing websites. Every client has special ideas about their online presence, and we enjoy making that real. We also like keeping technology simple and elegant.

Why do we do it?

We're enthralled by how the web helps businesses and communities grow. We're fascinated by its technologies and what they can do. There's always something new, and we try to take those developments and turn them into practical tools for our clients.

Who are we?

We're a small company led by a husband and wife team. We spent the first part of our careers working for a multinational in places as diverse as the US, India, France and the Netherlands. We saw plastics factories, aircraft engine repair shops, financial services and medical equipment sales - working in IT as well as finance, marketing and quality. It's made us into business-people as well as being techies. We first started working with the internet as young graduates by setting up intranet pages served from a PC under a desk! It wasn't long before everything got more exciting and more visually attractive. So when it came time to set out on our own, it wasn't difficult to choose where to focus our interests. We feel fortunate that we chose to settle in Witney and start our business here. We've grown really attached to this area and the lovely people we've met here.

Where does the name Olamalu come from?

Our son loves stories and no sooner he could talk he asked for one after another. He liked to make up names and characters for them and the Olamalu tree was one of his creations. It inspired me to write a book for him about a poor child whose grandfather takes him to a wonderful garden given to the city by a wealthy man. In a far corner there grew the Olamalu tree the source of many magical adventures. We designed the Olamalu logo with that tree in mind and with orange and red which are our son's favourite colours.
