Websites we do: Abbotts Advertising

When Abbott's signed a new sponsorship deal they had to update their website.  Or they found Olamalu and discovered that at £450 it was better value to have a completely new site - but they needed it within a week.

This was a very different type of site for us.  It has two main target groups - clubs and sponsors.  It had to look professional and business-like, yet reflect the world of rugby in which Abbotts Advertising specialises.

We took the concept of rugby and some nice images that were available and built the site look around that.  At the same time, it was important to highlight the major clubs Abbotts works with - and hence the list and logos as jumping off points from the front page.  This can be changed now within the content management system, and no longer needs a designer to redesign the site.

As Abbotts runs a lot of events and has a lot of testimonials related to their work, we built additional navigation for both these into the front page.  That gave the list of content along the bottom as well as the testimonials (which change depending on the page visited) on the side.

Finally, with the amount of text that needed to be communicated, we built little javascript drop downs (in orange) to hold the headings of text, which when clicked, open out to the full text.  All within the £450 budget.  We think Abbotts would agree that they got a very good value site for that.

Thank you for all your efforts and hard work over the last week – we’ve all achieved so much and I’m extremely proud of our new website.

Browns Accountancy are a new firm of accountants. It is a market where trust is important. Their website needed to communicate a friendly, dependable and approachable firm. More challenging was communicating the range of services on offer.

A unique ecommerce site which uses Google Merchant Center to promote it's products as well as providing full e-commerce functionality. Google allows you to upload spreadsheets of data manually, but we went better and provided an automated load for each product update to keep the data very current.

Signpost Fashion has an unique business selling one-off clothing items. They were starting from scratch and we did their entire 'image' and website. They needed a full ecommerce solution and a website with a continuously changing display, based on availability. Their front page updates automatically to show the newest items and remove anything which is sold.

Optima Recruitment needed to replace a current website with functionality which allowed them to gather resumes from people and post jobs they had available. What's more, they were keen to go live with it within a couple of weeks.

Creating a site for a completely new venture requires creativity and adaptability. We needed to develop a beautiful and impressive brand which has meaning. We also wanted the website to help a group of people remote from one another to share information easily.

When the new Trust behind Cogges took over, they wanted to rebrand their image entirely - and this of course included the website. Over a period of 10 minutes the site went from the old 'red' look (which had created temporarily) to this lovely 'green' look with stunning photography. A testimony to the power of our re-theming capabilities.

Cogges is a lovely old manor house and farm which sits beside the Windrush River. The Schools Programme involves artists working with school children in new media on the site. They wanted to be able to share experiences, photos and videos between schools.

Sometimes a website needs to be part of an integrated image. Complementing and enhancing print, banners, brochures, emails and other material. Much of it is already created and you need a web development company which can work to a design - advising and coordinating with the graphic artists to ensure their design communicates effectively in a browser medium.

When the Witney Big Breakfast Club wanted a new website they were looking for a technology that worked. As we gathered the specifications from the group, they thought it would also be nice to pre-book their menu choice, know who else was going to a meeting and be able to cancel. We were able to do all of that.

Life's a Peach has an interesting and different approach to sales training. They wanted a website that was flexible and adaptable to the development of the business. They also wanted to communicate a buoyant and optimistic outlook.
